Essential oil distillation

- Production of essential oils and collection of plants are the main
activities of SOTRAMEX. SOTRAMEX doesn’t do any research but studies and
tries all recent demand coming from customers.
- Concerning the production of essential oils, SOTRAMEX has 6
distilling units of 1200 liters each. Two of those have been put in the
factory, away from town, and the others in the forest where raw
materials are plentiful. In general, the essential oils obtained are
analyzed in a laboratory, which specializes in gas chromatography and in
physical-chemistry. Even so, sending samples to the customer for this
appoval is done as well.
- Collection and export of plants represent the other main activity of
the firm. Plants are collected, then dried as the buyer requires in the
shade or in warm air.

A reference herbarium lists all plants .If there are any unknown
ones, informations and photos from the Paris Museum can be
obtained.

In addition, the other activity of SOTRAMEX is the production of
cassava flour and industrial wax for textile
industry. Opening for foreign markets
